Inauguration Day 2021, a day many have been looking forward to for four years, is finally here. As we're still in the midst of a pandemic, attendees are adhering to mask and social distancing protocols — including Sen. Bernie Sanders in what's quickly becoming an inaugural meme.

While fellow senators and former presidential hopefuls are also in attendance, social distancing has Sanders — square in the demographic most vulnerable to coronavirus — sitting far away from everyone else.
